The Jester Archtype

Today my blog will be about the last archetype (That I know of so if i missed any let me know). The Jester just wants to laugh and be happy. I hope you enjoy my blog and it makes sense.

The jester can like any humor, but they usually joke about themselves and do not take themselves seriously. They do not take much seriously, they just want to laugh. They also will joke to show someone is not playing fair and to level out the fight. They are not even really good or bad, like Gabriel from supernatural though seasons 2-3 and 5 (Im not sure after that). Im using him as an example, he used to be happy until his family turned on each other. He left and started playing jokes on people that went way to far. He acted like he did not care but he did. He is a really good example of a Jester.

Their bad side is that there prone to drug abuse and taking things to far. They do thing just to piss someone off. They also are not on any side and will play both just to make jokes. They do not have much self control. They might also be extremely insensitive because they care to much and use humor as a shield.

“taking things too far” (2 oo in too.

“because they care to much” (2 oo in too).

I can’t think of any real life examples for a Jester, but they sound like they need a hug and they are really insecure. I can relate with having to make jokes. I guess we all have a bit of Jester in us.

Do characters overlap between the different archetypes? It seems like they would overlap and not be an all or nothing label.

    1. Thanks for the corrections, I will correct my blog soon. Also yeah the character archetypes usually overlap, its just easier to say each one individually and you choose which ones you want. Some characters are in the all or nothing label.
