Vegan Brownie Recipie from Genius Kitchen

Today my blog will be about the vegan brownie recipe from Genius Kitchen.


  • cups flour
  • cup water                                                                                                                                                
  • cup brown sugar
  • cup white sugar
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3cup cocoa powder  
  • 12cup vegetable oil  
  • 1teaspoon baking powder                                                                                                                         
  • 1cup nuts (optional)
  • 1cup chocolate chips(optional)                                                                                                                             


  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. Cook water and 1 cup of the flour over low heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches the consistency of a gluey paste .
  3. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  4. Mix sugar, salt, vanilla, cocoa powder and vegetable oil, and then add the flour-water mixture.
  5.  Mix well.
  6. Add the remaining 1 cup of flour, plus the baking powder and nuts/chocolate chips.
  7. Spread mixture into a greased 11×7-inch pan.
  8. Bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes, or until knife inserted into center of pan comes out clean.

  1. What a fun recipe. You didnt say if you tried making the brownies. It would be good to here your thoughts on tasting them. Also what your brothers & Mom thought of them too

    1. Boston and mom made then, the brownies were good but slightly bitter in my opinion. I think mom liked then and the boys did too.

  2. Wow, this looks delicious! And no eggs? That means I can eat the batter, right?! Will definitely give this recipe a try! What type of cocoa powder did you use? My go-to is ghirradelli! While it’s a bit more expensive, it is 100% worth it!
