What we did on Thursday and Saturday.

Hello, today I am going to write about “What we did on Thursday and Saturday”.

On Thursday we went on the Hammond’s Candy Factory tour (which was the first time in 4 years so it has been awhile). On the tour it told us how the candy was made and some of the history of the factory and some fun facts.

Fun Fact: you would be able to drive from Colorado to New York and back nearly twice, to make their most popular candy “Mitchell’s Sweet”. Fun Fact: Mitchell’s Sweet is named after the creator of Hammond’s Candy’s friend Mitchell, because it was his recipe that he gave to Hammond.

On Saturday we went to Colorado Springs because we were going to meet up with my friends because we like doing stuff fun nowadays. After we met up with them we went to a convenience store because we wanted drinks (we got Mountain Dew throwback, and some chips). After we got drinks and snacks, we drove out to the mountains, because we were going to go to a Basket weaving class.

At the Basket weaving class, we painted a circle with holes in it, and then we started weaving the baskets (I was really good at it). Once we were done weaving, we went to their house and did a bunch of fun stuff, including (but not limited to) riding bikes, playing with shields, going to their fort, and other fun stuff).

This is the end of the blog, hope you enjoy.

  1. I had a fun time doing the candy tour. I love that it is a Colorado business, started by a high school dropout that was able to be successful and establish their product around the globe. Looking forward to touring it again in 3-4 years. 🙂
